DOS32 Graphics on Linux

Does anyone have any pointers to good, easy-to-understand
information on graphics under Linux? I have an ulterior motive
here: A friend has written a program in QuickBASIC, and I'd like
to port it into Euphoria. The community that uses the program is
varied enough that making it available in both DOS and Linux
would be beneficial - but the DOS mode graphics for Euphoria
aren't supported in Linux. If I can find a good reference for
doing BASIC-style - or Euphoria/DOS32-style - graphics in Linux,
I can possibly write a set of routines that will essentially
replace graphics.e, or maybe work with graphics.e so that the
same source delta the include file will work on both Linux and
DOS.
