stuffing keyboard buffer

Hi. Can anyone tell me how to 'stuff' the keyboard buffer, so that a program will act as if a series of keys had actually been pressed? Looked through the docs and searched the archives, but didn't find anytihing about this. Thanks for any suggestions. Josh
