The Windows DLL that manages richedit controls refuses to change from word-wrap to non-word-wrap and visa versa at runtime. There is no message you can send to the DLL do this. I've tried many different things and can;t make it happen. The microsoft documentation has nothing to say on the subject. The only thing I can suggest is that you have two richedit controls located at the same spot on the window, and just keep one visible at any time. To switch to word-wrap, set the non-word-wrap control to invisible and make visible the word-wrap control. ------ sorry, Derek
