  I was starting my program from terminal emulation in KDE
  using Red Hat 6.2.

  I'am working on a new library for linux that uses graphics
  when I got the problem. I started my program and while
  it was running, I encountered an error and exu reported the
  error in a virtual console window. This window was a white
  text on blackground screen which is different from terminal
  emulation screen which I have set for black text on a yellow
  blackground screen.
  I pressed the return and the cursor went to the bottom
  of the screen, the only way I could return to my orginal
  terminal emulation screen was to press alt left-arrow.

  I corrected my errors so I don't know how to recreate the
  condition that caused the problem. Hopefully I'll make lots
  of mistakes so I can get you more details.

  Bernie
