Re: Roberts Compiler Project

Robert: Bravo!

Aidan and Mark: I agree with you that there will perhaps a modest speed
increase overall that can be had. But as to the question that Mark posed,
no, I prefer more road over faster cars. I have been checking out
alternate OS's, among which are V2OS and SKYOS (compatible to x86-based
platforms). In both cases, the ability to compile to EU down into these
would greatly enhance what I do for 'work' these days (especially with
V2OS, which started out just recently as a very, very fast Graphics-
oriented platform). The only alternative to working at their currently
somewhat primitive level is to use straight C. So, again, speed is not the
objective here for me -- EU has never had a problem in that department --
in either execution or programming. As to the aspect of having more bolt-
ons added to EU, well, it has plenty right now to keep me happy. I rather
welcome the luxury of greater Extendabilty.

Robert, I can't hardly wait.

Thanks,
Norm
