If I may be so bold to ask somebody to kick the first guy (not Mark Brown). Quite frankly, this bores me. -----Original Message----- From: Euphoria Programming for MS-DOS [mailto:EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU]On Behalf Of Mark Brown Sent: Tuesday, April 18, 2000 6:48 AM To: EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU Subject: Plagiarism is a dirty word Mike the Spike wrote ...... > Yeah pal. > It take me twenty minutes to get a legal case against you for exploiting my > name, reffering to me,my "COPYRIGHTED" product name, and many other things. > If you think you can blackmail me,suck my ass pal, Yes indeed.....stealing your product name WOULD be a terrible thing. However, I don't think Brian has done anything of the kind. He has merely done you a real service in getting that all important web page started for you. I saw nothing in his post that would lead me to believe that he had intended to do anything but relieve you of a huge html coding project. > posting that crap on MSN *ain't* gonna make MS take over the project,I'm > using the VC++ 6.0 core compiler licenbsed from MS to do this project,I was > just gonna post about that, but now you screwed shit up for others. > I give you 24 hours to remove that shitty board,or,I'll see you in court and > will kick you in the face fullspeed personally. Plagiarism is a VERY bad thing. For example, I was just reading a message board thingy at 3drealms the other day (actually, the one you yourself pointed us at - thanks!) and there was this bloke there that was using YOUR name ("Mike the Spike" that is) AND your other name, "Dr Cage". He was saying things like..... "It is a language wich I am currently co-developing with Robert Craig and his wife, the originators of the language." "there are many U4IA "compilers" based on GCC, hell, I even wrote 3 and plan to sell them." "RDS's U4IA should beat C/C++/ASM, right? Then download the interpretter and port the code, I did most of it, now find the glitches I wrote and fix them, I haven't gotten to that yet since this isn't on my priority list." He was also having another discussion with "Veldrik" that went something like this..... Veldrik :- "Euphoria got me hooked in the way that it can access the Win95 GUI, and so simply." to which Dr. Cage replied .... "Yes, Win32lib.ew eh? I wrote the Pixmap routines, the bitBlit functions and the geometry drawing stuff Look out for Lama.ew, its Euphoria's MFC." The gentleman who wrote those is clearly an imposter because the "Mike the Spike" (trade mark reg) that we know would NEVER claim co-authorship of someone elses work would he? That would be very BAD. Oh, and there's this cartoon strip thing that uses a character called "Mike the Spike". Maybe you should go kick them in the face fullspeed personally. Mark Brown
