Well, I do. IMHO the inconvenience of that outweighs the frustration
and debugging time of including wrong code. An analogy for me is 
uninitialised variables. I think we all agree that assign before use is
a good thing.
Again, the old include will always be availible if you want to use it.

Sounds good. I'll use it! I'd still like the chk_include though as I want
an error if the included file is no the one I expect.
