Thanks Rob for your answer re ALGOL programming.

My question arose out of looking at Freebyte.net web site.

Euphoria :-  Freeware,open-source programming etc.

             .............. powerful language with an

               ALGOL/BASIC  like syntax !!! etc.

             so the ALGOL thing 

         ALGOL 2 me is ALGO rithmic L anguage .........

                       ALGO         L         

                            hardly think it is Euphoria ???

                      OR I am up a creek without a paddle ????

Just an interest point ......... no harm meant ......... clarification only.
