I would contest that no reasonable person would code more that 10,000
lines in a single source file, unless there are packaging issues when
even so I would not expect more that 20,000 (I know, examples exist
[heh, win32lib!]). However, editing files of essentially unlimited
length (XML data files for one) is not unreasonable, ram/cache
permitting. By the latter I mean don't expect it to be possible/
reasonable performance reading a file of 2 million lines on a PC only
equipped with 32M of ram. Theoretically it might be expected/doable,
in practice usually not.

Anyway, I digress.

Do you need it now, or not?

Pete
