Since the problem apparently comes from a memory allocation issue, what
is going on could be revealed by an utility that would monitor the
native API calls made by your app, which, as I understood, is a
standalone .exe.
I got such a moniitor; it would tell you which memory fault occured. In
conjunction with trace, it might even give you further insight.
