Kevin, I don't recognize your email/name/writing style so I'd like to welcome you to the list. I don't mean to sound rude but if you'd really like some help, a proper writing style will go a much further way on this list. A '.bat' file is a DOS batch file which is essentially an executable file. To run it in Windows, simply double click it's icon or type 'install' at a DOS command prompt (after changing to the directory in which it's contained). -- Brian Kevin wrote: > hello to all i could use alittle help i am new to this programing thing > and having alittle trouble installing 0.dat it says to use install.bat > but not having any luck getting it open and help would be apprecitated > also can someone also in little words explain how to or what file > extension to use to view the graphics i have the xviewer but allways > give me a message that it has no idea how to read the file thank you > for any help Kevin >
