The theory is that coLinux is faster, but I've had better luck with vmware. Plus, you don't have to install anything extra to get a good GUI with vmware. Getting x working with coLinux is a bit of a hassle. I used a the cygwin x client, and it was also really slow. VNC or something else may work a lot better. I've had a lot of success with NX Machine for doing remote linux sessions, but I never tried it with coLinux. YMMV Matt
