I expect to get access to some shell from which to run imakeu (say) and test the generated exu, am I right? Or is it just opening a Unix-intended file with "linuvm.exe" or whatever it's named? Perhaps should there be a text file somewhere centralising this sort of technical tips, in order to enable anyone in the community to contribute. CChris Note for Pete: If this (or any other suggested scheme) works, then the paragraphs in my post where I was talking about missing interpreters becomes pointless, except perhaps concerning Linux developers and their ability to build ex[w].exe. I don't know what they can or cannot do.
