Well said. I also would appreciate it, if the system would be as unbureaucratic as possible. > Besides, with this issue (I actually forget whether it is over get, or Derek's > thing) Generally speaking, I'd like to have some kind of democratic voting on changes in the front-end or the back-end as well as on changes in the libraries coded in Euphoria that ship with the official release. > what if you are correct and it should not be included, or done, but there > is a vote and it is included, or done... wouldn't you rather have the > opportunity > to continue to discus something rather than having it all come to a final, > binding, > vote? I'm not sure whether I do understand properly what you mean. If there will be a change that I do not like, but for which there was a democratic voting, then I'll have no problem to accept that change. If there is a change that I do not like, and this change only happens because someone who knows something about SVN and has some free time and thinks it's a good idea to change the language according to his personal preferences, then it might happen that I will not accept that change. > If for example we did have a voting system for Euphoria "features", how would > you see that working? What would the process be? Unfortunately, I have no experience in this regard, and so I have more questions than answers. However, as far as libraries coded in Euphoria are concerned, we already have a working and unbureaucratic voting system: the micro economy. So we should use it whenever possible. Rob recently wrote that he had read a book with the title "Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything". Maybe in that book there was something written about this topic? (Just a guess.) I, personally, mainly felt that it is time now to start this discussion. Regards, Juergen
