What I wanted to ask for is:
Could you please in version 3.1.1 only include the fixes of
the bugs which are in version 3.1? I think this is mainly the
bug in find_from() and the memory leak on Linux.

And if you actually think the changes by CChris should be put
into Euphoria, couöd you do so in a later version, but not in
Eu 3.1.1, please?

Doing so would reduce the risk of introducing new bugs in Eu 3.1.1,
and so increase the chance that it will be a stable release.
I just need a stable release for writing programs that are used by
more than 10 000 people. The most recent stable release is 3.0.2,
but I would prefer a stable release that contains find_from() and
match_from().
