You shouldn't be here for social reasons. Offcourse, you'll get to know some people and some kind of social relation will be developed (What a word, like you were programming it), but that's not the reason to join (or quit). And getting critism, means people are taking you serious. And at least you'll know where you stands, what if everybody lied ? Would you really want people to pretend they like you or get made inside their head without talking about it?? Please take critism with a bit more objective point of view and see that if they really don't like you and don't want you (why should you even care?) they would have ignored the message, but instead they confronted you with it, with the only logical reason that they didn't want to not like you, so they post about it, to sorted it out, so everything can then be ok with them and with you. They might not know this and think they don't like you, but do you really care about things you don't like, think not! So take it as a sign of respect. My new MaZeR engine is now bug free, only some options need to be added. This one is a lot quicker, it uses only 3 routines. (You only have to call one). And one of the new options is that you can give him a 2D sequence, where the maze will drawn in, with all positive values (already in the 2D sequence) being handled like lines and all negative values (zero too) like spaces. So you can include you own level pieces where the maze is drawn around. But before i release it you should play with the current MaZeR available at the Official Euphoria Site. I do not release it yet, because i want to create a better demonstration program for the routine. A demonstration program which allows you to change the values manually without the use of a predefined 'flavor' (= maze style/type) and allowing you to save these options to a shared file containing all the flavors. (Which you can then add to.) Please, i'll like to know if there are people that care about such a engine? If not i'll stop posting about, might even stop coding it. Also the maker of SNAKERS might consider the use of this program. It could also generate the type levels that are nice for SNAKERS easily, which offers much more dynamic gameplay, simple because the levels are different each time. Maybe something for SNAKERS 2, big scrolling dynamic levels. (bigger than the screen, so you'll have to search for next number!) It's a pretty good idea isn't it?? Well, please code... ..if you agree. I'm also planning a game using my MaZeR engine, some sort of action game which you can see from above and you have should some irritation people. (Better kill them in my game, then getting so emotional!!) I'll will use Micheal Packard's crash course to create a game that looks as professional as his games do. (i really need to do projects clean and simple, instead of just jumping in the deep (dutch expression=doing the hardest thing before any preparation), i had tried to code the mazer code 3 times, before i knew how to code it!) I am now using a spell checker, so the number of spelling error should be getting lower (i hope), however i think my English is pretty good for a 15 year old Dutch kid.
