On my win95 machine ctrl+escape acts the same as the Windows logo
key - it minimizes the DOS Window and activates the Start menu.

There's a known bug: if you run a Euphoria program from ed,
and then you hit ctrl+C or ctrl+Break it will quite often
cause the "performed an illegal operation" message that you saw.
