Getting recognition for your work in the form of micro-economy bux or votes is encouraging, but will always have the potential for some kinds of abuse. A voting system might lead to the same kind of "rating inflation" I've noticed on music upload sites such as Acid Planet. There are a number of artists there with artificially high average ratings, simply because they've provided lots of positive reviews to others and have received a "quid pro quo" pat on the back in return. I would hate to see a system implemented that lauds established excellence at the cost of ignoring promising newbie efforts. Mark mkakita at juno.com http://marksarts.blogspot.com/
