annoyances in socks

No, i didn't mean *me* in socks, i meant using winsocks with Eu code.

I have noted some incompatability between IE5 and euLibnet, especially when
running
tcp4u. The tcp4u code runs fine, and IE runs as well as any other microsoft
code,, but
when those two are run with an euLibnet application, and an error occurs, IE
crashes,
the euLibnet-based app won't recover gracefully from the error (i haveto shut
them
down), and fairly quickly the puter locks up if anything happens in an IE5
session,
such as moving the mouse or scrolling or loading a new url,, or launching
another IE
window from the desktop.

I am using them fairly robustly, on average, i am doing a tcp to assorted
webservers
every 1.5 minutes per application instance (they could run faster, but the sites
get
angry, so i put in some sleep(60)s), and have 4 to 9 instances running round the
clock.

Has anyone else noted this crashing incompatability scenario or have an idea why
it's
happening? I either have the http proxy set to "bypass", or it's not running
when this
happens.

Kat
