RE: Tired of Euphoria Bashing

I think some of the people here are a bit displeased with Euphoria because=

they would like to see the development of Euphoria go in another direction.=

For the most part I am happy with Euphoria and I use it for all of my
commercial apps. Of course the language can be improved, all
software/programming languages need improvement, but Euphoria is very
efficient as is.

The success or failure of Euphoria is not only dependent on Robert, but it=

is also dependent on the community in a whole. A strong community is what=

drives any language. In my opinion Euphoria is lacking users, and if there=

was a sustained effort to get new users to actively use the language, I
think that would motivate Robert to explore other avenues.

The main problem is Robert is a very talented developer/coder, but he is=

lacking in the department of marketing. Euphoria has been around long enoug=
h
that it should have been written about in every top computer magazine and/o=
r
website. The fact of the matter is most people just do not know the languag=
e
exist, and we will never see Euphoria grow if there are only a handful of=

people using it. It is extremely hard for one or two people to effectively=

market a product, and in my opinion that is what I think Euphoria needs the=

most. What good are features when there is no one here to utilize them?
Unfortunately =93if you build it they will come=94 does not apply to softwa=
re or=20
the web.
