Sometimes a 145K+ program to perform a simple task seems superflous to me.
Put many of these small (in complexity) utilities together and you get
lot's of wasted disk/bandwith. Another benefit of exe packing is automatic
CRC checking (virus protection) and protection from reverse engeneering.
What do you think of the append_resource thingy?
If a simple change can provide lower system resources usage, program
security and flexibility to the developer, why don't put it?
BTW ASPack compresses exw.exe to 68.5K.
