Hi,

euAllegro has good sound support (for Windows only).

It has wav, midi (allows many wav's to be played at once, and looped etc).
Midi's can be played.
Also can play some mod files as well.

I haven't tried using euAllegro as a sound on;y library (ie without using
the
graphics) but I imagine it would be possible.
