One thought - somewhere along the line, all installations I've tried have to ask where you want the boot loader to be installed. MBR on the first hard drive is the usual choice. Did you get that far? It appears that the boot loader isn't installed, otherwise you'd get a opportunity to choose DOS or Linux at boot time. (after that, the Linux choice would fail if the Linux partitions weren't there.) Regards, Irv
