DOS32 & WIN32 limitations

Hi all, my interest of the moment seems to be a little off the mainstream discussions in this forum but I think it is worth trying to get some help since it might attract other categories of users toward using Euphoria. I'm focusing on writing command line utilities on NT platform (NTFS) but I get readily stuck with the following dilemma: if I use DOS32 (ex.exe) I cannot use long filenames. I have tried klrutils and easydos\longname.e but to no avail. If on the other hand I use WIN32, command line utilities like piping (|) and redirection are disabled, probably because exw starts in its own console window. Can I expect support of NTFS long filenames in V2.3 of ex.exe? I hope at least that there is no such problems on Unix/Linux. Henri Goffin
