jiiri sequence ?

Jiri:
    I'am working on a new windows library and I wonder if you
    can come up with some code that would take a euphoria sequence
    of bytes and have a function that compresses the sequence and
    another function that decompresses the compressed sequence.
    I not talking about reading in a file but just talking about
    {12,3,11,2,2,2,34,55,9,3} etc.
    I can do this but only get 3 to 1 on big sequences. The reason
    I'am asking is I think you know more about compression than I do.
    What about RLE I don't really understand how to use that ?
