Here are the results of the poll. Any responses that didn't match one of the
options were treated as abstentions (I allowed Juergen's if...else vote, because
I could resolve it in the final analysis).

I'll document it more fully on the site.

Q1 - About allowing the new syntax

8 x YES, 3 x NO

Q2 - About your preference between the 2 syntaxes

7 x A, 4 x B

Q3 - About restricting it to the type parameter

7 x Unrestricted, 4 x Restricted

Q4 - About extending variation A to multiple dimensions

7 x Unrestricted, 3 x 1-level only, 1 x abstention

Q5 - About extending variation B to multiple dimensions

7 x Unrestricted, 3 x 1-level only, 1 x abstention
