Even more concise and visually intuitive:

{atom} s -- a sequence of atoms
{{integer}} -- a sequence of sequences of integers
{{}} -- a sequence of sequences

Since the interpreter expects type marks in very specific places, this construct
is not ambiguous at all.
And {atom}(s) could be parsed properly, including inside an if/while statement.
