Well, for viruses use Symantec Norton AntiVirus (better yet SystemWorks)
For spyware use the free SpyBot Search & Destroy (2nd most downloaded file
on download.com)
For these message boxes?

I have a new to me computer and I installed Win98 in it w/IE.

I keep getting a couple of message boxes.

One warning about viruses and one warning about spyware.
Both instruct me to download software at their website for money.
I am sure they both are scams.
How can I stop these message boxes from popping up?

Does anybody have any experiance with this?
Any help appreciated.
