Derek's decision is obviously based on great frustration with RDS.
Many user's have been waiting for this release becuase of what sounded
like great potential to enhance the language. Unfortunately, 2.5 didn't
deliver what Derek and others interested had expected. It was a long wait
for 2.5 and I'm sure that 2.6 will take even longer to *maybe* realize the
features that were expected with 2.5.

Like most everyone here, I'd hate to see Derek go but I can assure you
that Win32Lib will live on. If nobody steps up and even if it took me
half a year to absorb Win32Lib's internal changes, I'd keep it going
myself. I've been using it since I discovered Euphoria and I refuse to
see it die.

That said, let's just hope that RDS "see's the light" before 2.5 final
or that Derek decides to stick it out.
