I'm not actively participatig in the contest ... but I see this is a major part of the contest. In "the real world" programmers don't get exact specs of input / output expected. Much has to be interpretered by the programmer. In "the real world" if you waited for full specs from the client with no ambiguities you would never start writing a program.
