Future contests

I think it would be a good idea for these competitions to become a regular occurance. It's very generous of Derek to 'donate' the money from the win32lib project for a pool, and the additional funds volunteered by other registered users is nice, too. What about future contests? Given the framework in place for 'voting' for euphoria projects, it'd be a good idea if there was a blank project representing a contest pool. Someone who organised a contest could ask Rob, and be given permission to award a certain amount of Euphoria money to the winners. What do you think? The registered users who entered the competition could be 'encouraged' to put their monthly allowance into the pool as well. I thought I'd done very well in my competition entry as far as optimisation goes - Kudos to those who managed a whopping 30% increase in speed. I can't imagine how you've done it, though I will certainly have a look once the competition is over. In a fit of mildly sour grapes, I've started working on a framework for another competition, due to start *after* the current one is finished - one where speed means nothing, thankfully. However, I'll not say anything else until it's time, 'cause that's unfair to Derek. So I guess I'm nominating myself to administrate the second competition, if there's no problem with that... -- MrTrick
