At a guess, I would agree with James. I do remember a couple of times
when after exiting from different non-DX applications, a no-named
taskbar
application slot still remained in my taskbar until I ran my mouse
cursor
over it and it automagically disappeared. I'm guessing either it's
just one of them MS Windows perks or I'm actually forgetting something
to release the application 100% on a exit. Hopefully it's not the
later because I can't find anything wrong with the way I do it. Plus,
it's not happening to me currently.
