I've noticed this kind of problem with several Visual Basic programs also.
My solution was to spend a lot of time diddling around with two computers
(one on "normal" fonts, one on "large" fonts) to make sure things worked on
both of them.
I'm sure there is a better solution, but that was mine . . .
