Well, this is amusing. The "15 emails test" was designed to be run only on computers running their security products or no security products at all. According to this email, if you run any other security product, the tests tell you nothing. In other words, since those us us who run Pegasus are at least partially protected, all bets are off. If you (like me) removed the vbs runtime files, roughly 1/2 the tests are useless because those emails *use vbs to install the worms*, which is NOT a real life situation. In any case, the pattern of the emails apparently is set to provide a nice pretty gui to alert their registered customers that they are "protected" by doing what should be done anyhow instead of buying more security product to do it for them. The tests on our site are intended to help customer using our product, GFI MailSecurity, to see if their email is properly protected against email threats. These tests are not for machine with out this product or just stand alone machine. If you try to use these tests with other products or none at all, they will not work. regards Alex Mallia Support department- support at gfi.com GFI Software Ltd Security & Messaging software for Windows 2000 GFI: MailSecurity - FAXmaker - DownloadSecurity for ISA Server - LANguard Security Event Log Monitor www.gfi.com
