Thanks to one of the links sent by Ray Smith, I've figured out Unix File Sockets, and have modified RDC.e to use those instead of INET sockets. As a direct consequence of this, I'm creating a new version of threads-server to use the modified RDC.e (hence the 2 names: threads-server-unix and threads-server-inet). Of course this makes 3 versions of the threaded lib now ... maybe thats not so good. (The third version uses memshare btw.) (I'm not aware if anyone uses my fakethreads libraries at all, the memshare one doesnt work due to the fact that you cant reallocate shared memory, so you run out of space quickly. I'm not aware of a good fix for this.) Also, I'm working on my socketlib some more, when I release it, it will support using both AF_UNIX and AF_INET sockets. jbrown -- /"\ ASCII ribbon \ / campain against X HTML e-mail and /*\ news and unneeded MIME
