3D Pong? Yes. Well, to the sophistication of say Quake 3 or any other recent 3D game.... Not in pure euphoria. I wouldn't be too worried about that though, most graphic engines are optimized to within an inch of their life. That means assembly code. If you wrote (or "borrowed") a graphics engine, wrote a library to interface to it... then I think you could. Hmmm... just in the spirit of competition... I wonder how OpenEU compares speedwise to regular Euphoria? ============================================== _______<-------------------\__ / _____<--------------------__|=== | |_ <-------------------/ \__| Patrick Barnes -----Original Message----- From: Lewis Townsend [mailto:Keroltarr at hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:48 To: EUforum Subject: 3D graphics / games in Euphoria Howdy folks, Lewis Townsend here. I know I haven't posted in a long time. I somehow got unsubscribed some time ago and never bothered to resubscribe. I still check out the website from time to time tho. Well down to the point: Would it be feasable to write a fast paced High detail 3D game in Euphoria? With/Without translation? Back when I was a regular on this list I would have said no to that question but Eu has advanced some since then I think.
