DMAK problem

The program in question is at: http://www.edmc.net/~jstory/dmak.tar.gz The executable file works okay when I use command-line window and navigate to the directory that it is in and type "./dmak". But that seems to be the only way to run the executable file. I added a note to the package explaining this. Someone emailed me and said he got an error: ERROR OPENING eugtk.so and he says perhaps the Euphoria library wasn't statically linked. I'm so ignorant that I don't know what "statically linked' means. Does it mean the opposite of "dynamically linked"? I don't know what that means either. What do I gotta do to get it "statically linked" or whatever? It's on freshmeat but if a bunch of people download it and think it doesn't work, that's no good.
