Ok, when i said:
>>internetworking code (such as http and telnet and ftp and etc get and put,

I mean treating the internet as if it were a disk file, no more difficult than
that.

>> when i find one that works 100% 100% 100%),

I mean that i have had trouble with every http code on the RDS site, altho,
like i said, i may have bugged up the Web Shepard myself. Right now, i have
the get_file() (that Mike sent me, not the package on the RDS page) working,
and EInetLib_full.ew working, Mike's version of the tcp4u is working on
everything i throw at it so far (in http protocol). I am going to try to make it
do
email too, because i want to get that job off of the mirc program and into Eu.
There is code to *send* email on the RDS site, but nothing to *get* it.

>>and all the string handling includes (like tokens and string.e and etc).

I meant all code that makes sequences look like strings, like David's perl
regexp code, the string.e code, the tokens code, and anything else a newbie
or experienced programmer would need to manipulate real-world text.

>>and physical port i/o,

Code that works to deal with the serial and parallel ports on the puter, in dos,
windows, and linux. It should be able to recieve the data_ready interrupt for
the port, read the chip settings, and reprogram the com chips for any
supported modes. Handling the modem and ethernet/lan cards would be a
real plus. To my way of thinking, this code should be as easy to use as
reading a file off the disk. Speaking of such, Eu doesn't seem to have a
command to set a variable or constant to the entire file contents.

Basically, any code that interfaces the puter to the real world (com/lpt ports)
and other data sources (inter/intranet), and gives the user the string libraries
to manage that text/data.

Kat,
frustrated that her puter is so loaded with work that it is a word behind her
typing.
