This meta-command about charset doesn't work on my provider's host-machine. My docs must be in the koi8r encoding without any hard commands on charset. Then provider detects client's browser current code page and recode koi8r text into current client's code page on the fly automatically. It works OK, if client has the Russian OS local settings, but may not work for the foreign clients with Windows-1250 or other current code page. Rob's host doesn't care about these things, so I can use that meta-command as it is handy for all, not only for Russians, if my docs are on Rob's host. Just local settings - current language etc. Yes, your PC is a 'German' one in these terms. >Have a nice day, Rolf Thanks for testing! Regards, Igor Kachan kinz at peterlink.ru
