If you're using a Windows NT based OS (NT, 2000, XP) then AUTOEXEC.BAT
is pointless. You have to setup your environment variables a different
way:

    1. Right-click My Computer and click Properties
    2. Click the Advanced tab
    3. Click the "Environment Variables" button
    4. Edit your environment variables here
