search the Archive for my telenet demo. It shows the
basics of making a connection and negotiating options.

My goal was not a full interactive client, just a way
to of making telenet 'Macros'.
I've been using variations of this to code interfaces 
from remote unix shell output onto intranet , such as
a submit link to the finger command for the Operator's
control desk webpage.
