Answer this: How many computer users that actually "spend money" use Linux and apply the same to MS-Windows. You see, Linux is evil toward the programmer and end-user for many reasons. Its free and Open-Source which means there are too many hands in the pot. Most third party devices dont work or dont have drivers that exist for them eg. printers, modems, video-cards, drives, etc...etc....etc hell, you might just say a whole freakin machine. I could go on and on and on and on and on you get the picture. I read RedHats Website twice a week to keep up on whats happening in Linux. I have a neighbor that work for IBM and one that works for RedHat and live pretty close to the corporate headquarters for both and know a bit about them. If you want to give your software away then do it on Linux but if you want to sell and actually make something then do it on Windows. There are many-many more stock shareholders that have an interest in MS's success than there are in Linux, this means the shareholders will insure monitarily the success of the O/S by making purchases for good solid software that runs on MS Windows. Im a Nascar fan and #3 Earnheardt before his life was cut short was my favorite every race and the only reason for this was because he was a leader, a Champion, a Success and had a slogan that read: Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way!
