I'd say that this is one for people with source and/or Robert Craig to 
answer.  That is the message you'd get if you were trying to run exw.exe 
while in pure DOS mode.  So the question is, what is the interpreter 
checking to determine whether you are running under Windows?  I don't 
recall anybody else having problems with 98SE...
