Yes, mainly, but many people who do speak English very well, like to read the docs translated into Russian too - for better understanding. English is good, but Russian is better > How did they learn to know Euphoria? Via Internet, there is no another way for now. My private site is registered on the main Russian search engine - www.rambler.ru. I had registered it years ago. > Is Euphoria available on Russian Download Sites? No, I think. People use VB and VC at work to be compatible with MS products. But there are Russian mirrors of sourceforge - say, we can download Matt's wxEuphoria from Moscow site. > Is there something like a Russian Euphoria community? No, there is not. But I answer any questions about Euphoria in Russian with pleasure from my private e-mail address. Sometimes, it is very active work. >From time to time there are the questions in Russia, yes. Are the standard 7 bit ASCII characters -- which are normally used > for the identifiers -- not available on Russion operating systems? They are fully available, sure. But all Russian chars are in 128..255 range. Imagine yourself writing your program in Russian. Then imagine some Russian kid writing his program in English. We need learn English first, then to program. With Russian keywords we can program in Russian. That BlackBox allows the Russian identifiers with some restriction. Modified Euphoria allows not only user's identifiers, but Russian builtins and lib routines, and keywords now. It is very handy thing - to program 100% in your native language under Euphoria rules. I have ed.ex now 100% in Russian. It works and gives me great Euphoria Regards, Igor Kachan kinz at peterlink.ru
