I believe that the euphoria community would greatly benefit from a more versatile discussions fourm. One which has different sections relevant to different topics. This would also make it easier for people who come across the message boards to find something interesting to read, rather than just the last 3 days messages which are probably irrelevant to a lot of new users. Also a single file message board appears too formal, and doesnt realy allow for the kind of casual discussions which help build a comunity. Please refer to the following web site for an example of the kind of forum i am talking about. http://forums.indiegamer.com/ Its nice that the EUforum is done in eu and has syntax highlighting. but i think a more practical and organised approach with separate topic areas, and message threads would be more useful to a lot of euphoria users. as for people who want the messages emailed to them rather than browsing a web site, i dont know how that would work. but i dont realy see the point of having every single message emailed to you, since most people probably wouldnt read half of the messages anyway. generaly i just feel that the Euforum is inadequate for the number of people who use euphoria, and the different types of programs they are producing. I suggest the following topics for forums: New Users - Help News and Announcements General Discussions New Feature Suggestions FAQ Contributions Algorithms Graphics and Sound Internet and Network Development API development Games Development
