I was meaning, committing it to the SVN repository of Euphoria as a new routine
in get.e, since a few people have requested a function that would "simply" return
a numeric value held at the beginning of a string, more "like val() in Basic",
which i know only by name. Named get_number(sequence s), perhaps.
