Everyone, The bug is in the part of safe_address that is executed if edges_only is non-zero. Derek is running ex.exe, which sets edges_only to 0 by default-- so it works. Run the same code in exw.exe, which sets edges_only to 1 by default and the error occurs. -- Mike Nelson
