Umm.. why?
Or do you mean [E]mpty[MM]X[S]tate ?

Anyways, I once forgot to use emms before returning from a machine proc,and
when I tried to print an atom I got "not a number" (or something like that).
Quite an interesting effect (although it's of no use).
