My last post contained a rather long, rambling sentence that was hard to parse. WATCOM going open source has no effect on Euphoria for Linux. On Linux, the translator produces C files that are compiled and linked using GNU C, just as the Euphoria interpreter is compiled and linked using GNU C. > Watcom C is not available for LINUX is it? Yes, I gather they will initially produce a small patch for WATCOM 11.0 users. After that they will get into open source, but I'm not 100% sure of what they mean by "open". > Should Euphoria LINUX even be given the same release > level designation ( 2.2 ) when it lacks graphics routines > equivalent to DOS32? Definitely it should. The core language is fully compatible with DOS32 and WIN32. Euphoria for WIN32 also lacks the WATCOM graphics library.
