Movies in a window

I'm hoping to place a movie, such as any at this address http://web.mit.edu/jpnet/ji/movies/ in a fixed location in a window, much as I might place a bitmap. Any thoughts on how this might be done? Web browsers do it, and I don't much care which viewer might need to be invoked. Thanks, -- Craig
